Don’t Let Your Dreams Die

The greatest danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short, but in setting our aim too low and achieving the mark.” — Michelangelo

Your dreams are important. Your passions and desires are part of you for a reason: to make them come true. But, our lives have become so cluttered. In this day and age of entertainment, it is very easy to settle into the lifeless comfort zone.

Comfort zones are where dreams go to die. The comfort zone inhibits our desires and passions from turning into reality. Comfort zones convince your dreams that you’re doing “enough.” You don’t need to reach higher because your comfort zone has set the bar so low.

“Your dreams are too high in the sky for you to reach them.” Your comfort zone whispers.

Comfort zones are your dreams worst enemy. They will enlarge your dreams to make them look quite impossible to ever attain. If you allow yourself to stay too long in this zone of comfort, you know what will happen? Your dreams will die.

Life can only begin at the end of your comfort zone. If you want to make your dreams come true, if you want to be the best you, and drastically impact the world you have to get out of your comfort zone. Do everything to destroy it. Forget the safety net of your comfort zone. Take the first step away from it. As the old adage states, “nothing ventured, nothing gained.”

So stop allowing your dreams to die a slow and painful death in the dull, joyless, desolate land of comfort zone. Take charge. Aim high. Set your goals and work hard so comfort zones never have a place in your life.
