Social media platforms of the fresh-out-the-box variety are always a roller coaster, and your marketing squad is probably already in a wild scramble to generate some noise.

After clocking in about ~25 hours on Threads (my screen time is always pretty bad), I’ve picked up a nugget of wisdom or two. And I wanna share.

So, let’s dive into the basics of taming a new social media platform, and how you can make it work for your brand.

New platforms are a beast.

With the launch of Threads, everyone’s head is filled with questions.

  • Is the platform more for LinkedIn-style formality?
  • Does it embrace the wild, humorous spirit of Twitter and TikTok?
  • Does it lean towards lengthy content, à la YouTube?
